I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this Green Heron reference photo I took last year. I love this bird so much I wanted him to be a part of my graphics bird card collection so here he is...again. He was drawn with Adobe Illustrator. I worked on him last week. A series of water birds will follow, (a Canada Goose, a Great Blue Heron for Debbie, and a White Pelican, and I think an egret...any other suggestions?)

The Heron looks fantastic! Really nice work. Adobe Illustrator is such a fun program to work with. Good job.

This is a lovely card and it sounds like this will be part of a really great group.

Thank you so much Michelle and Vicki! I'm really looking forward to the rest of this water bird series. I think the larger water birds are so interesting...almost prehistoric looking. I have begun a white pelican design but friends are wanting a Great Blue Heron next so I may have to side aside my initial sketches to work on the GBH. In the meanwhile, I have two watercolors on the table! I can't wait to post again!

Roger I think it's time for a bittern too! They are extraordinary birds. But then...wood ducks are fabulous as well, (and I actually have some good photos I snapped of some on the river of wood ducks). I'll bet your ponds are just alive with all kinds of incredible bird life. I envy you!
