Mystery Card

Well the holidays are right around the corner. And, though I am always the first to be disgusted by the Christmas decor around Halloween, as an artist I only have a small window of time to prepare my holiday cards and get them ready for printing. This year I thought I'd involve you to participate. I have this lovely banner but the card is deinitely lacking. Be the first to guess the proper prop that's missing and I will send you a free packet of printed cards! Good luck!

Maybe a rich colored background with starts twinkling all over. I think it needs some glitz:)) But it is gorgeous!!

A hummingbird. Hope I can post this-I am either visually or computer impaired!

Your lovely design is vertical, thus I think a tall white cally lily intertwined (or more than one) would be elegant and exquisite.

Mmmm...now why didn't I think of that before? If I were you Kay, I could trash my original idea and then start anew in a flash...Alas...I know my limitations and calla lillies will have to grace a future piece. Thanks for stopping by!

Well whatever it is behind the curtain will be gorgeous :) Perhaps an Anna's humminbird ringing in the holidays with Christmas bells?

I guess my two cents wasn't enough. It disappeared. I said....I agree with Janie about the hummingbird, but added a bell for donging and dinging.

Hi Mary, my english is not so good. But I am missing a word there, like Eve (behind New Year's), to make the sentence perfect. Is it that?

Of course whatever you will have there, your decor is fantastic.

Thanks gals! Well...today is the day I reveal the answer...And yes! It's hummingbirds! Janie was the first to guess correctly so she gets the prize! (She's so fast!)

Doris, it's so nice to hear from you! I often wonder how you are doing with your beautiful family and painting career and all! Here in the USA we tend to corrupt the English language somewhat so the phrase is often not "Happy New Year's Eve!" but "Happy New Year's!" Your English is just fine and I continue to be impressed with your ability to speak TWO languages fluently!
