I absolutely love your paintings! The miniatures are amazing -- how you could achieve such complexity on such a tiny scale is beyond me, but I love your larger works like this one too! The pattern in reflection is almost by itself an abstract painting...
I read your interview on Carries's blog and cannot agree with you more regarding "living among big trees"... Living in San Francisco I feel so connected to the giant redwood forests... I am also very fond of birds, although I have to admit I have not painted as many as I would like to. But I do share your passion of admiring their majesty! Looking forward to see more of your bird paintings...
Arena! Thank you so much for reading my interview and also for stopping by my blog. I envy you for you get to live in my beloved Bay Area! I grew up there and have indulged in the peace of the redwood groves my whole childhood and young adult life. I miss them so much!
I checked out your website and I am so impressed! You look as though you really have it together and know what you are doing, (I have yet to get my website going). Your paintings are beautiful too! I have no doubt you are going to make it big in the world of watercolors. Perhaps some day we will meet and compare notes, (among the redwoods, of course! :))
Hi Mary,
I am a glass artist ( stainedglassbymarcy.com). I am writing to ask if I could do your Midas Touch in glass. I would do it in a stained glass mosaic. You can see my mosaic work on my website. I love your work and would love to do it in glass. I would always cite you for shows, galleries , my website or anywhere this is seen.
Thank you for considering this!
