This is the last miniature I'll do for the season. I'm behind on other projects and must catch up. I'll start some mini's again in the fall for a couple of shows I think. They are just too much fun! This one, "Quiet Repose" is 2 1/4" x 3".

Just beautiful Mary. What gorgeous flowers and you have set them off so wonderfully with the glass and lace. Very sorry to hear you are planning a break from minis...even though your larger works is just as mouthwatering I hope you'll fit in some more before the fall :)

Thank you dear Tracy. I will be focusing on selling cards this summer and don't know how much time I'll have to commit to minis...although...knowing me, I'll probably steal time from other events to paint! You have me all excited about this artform and I now I'm addicted!

This is really very beautiful Mary! And so perfectly rendered with lots of radiant light. I think it's amazing that you are able to paint such a comprehensive image in such a small space. Clever girl indeed! How long does it take you to complete one of these?

Are the greeting cards destined for a particular market?

Keep up the great work Mary. I too hope this won't be the last of the minis for the next short while. They are lovely. :-)

Jean! Welcome! And thank you for the affirming words. These little demons of paintings take FOREVER to complete! Just ask Tracy, (above) and she'll tell you, (she's the queen of minis...although she can whip them out much faster than I).
I will be selling the greeting cards this summer at various out door markets and hopefully local stores in the area. It's a new and frightening venture for me but one I'm excited about nonetheless! When I get too nervous about marketing I retreat back to the studio and immerse myself in the creative process...great way to ignore reality!
